Mountain Pose is the foundation of all standing poses. It improves posture, balance, and calm focus. This pose teaches you to stand with steady strength like a mountain.
How to Practice
- Stand with feet together or hip-width apart
- Ground down through all four corners of your feet
- Engage your thighs and lift your kneecaps
- Lengthen your tailbone toward the floor
- Roll your shoulders back and down
- Extend through the crown of your head
- Arms at sides, palms facing forward
- Hold for 5-10 breaths
