About This Pose

Child's Pose is a restful pose that gently stretches the back and hips. It calms the mind and relieves stress and fatigue.

How to Practice

  • Kneel on the floor, big toes touching
  • Sit back on heels
  • Separate knees hip-width or wider
  • Fold forward, bringing chest toward thighs
  • Extend arms forward or alongside body
  • Rest forehead on the mat
  • Breathe deeply and relax
  • Hold for 1-3 minutes

This pose gently stretches back, hips, and ankles. It calms the brain, relieves stress and fatigue.

Modifications

Place pillow under forehead or chest. Use blanket under knees if needed.
