About This Pose

Boat Pose builds core strength and concentration. It develops focus while strengthening the entire abdominal area.

How to Practice

  • Sit with knees bent, feet on floor
  • Hold behind thighs
  • Lean back, lift feet off floor
  • Balance on sit bones
  • Extend legs to 45-degree angle
  • Extend arms parallel to floor
  • Keep spine straight
  • Hold for 10-30 seconds

Benefits

This pose strengthens core, hip flexors, and spine. It improves balance and digestion.

Modifications

Keep knees bent if straight legs are challenging. Use strap around feet if needed.
